In partnership with Harford Community College, the HCECA was developed in 1978 to train electricians in Harford County. Beginning its inaugural year with ten students, the HCECA is now the largest electrical apprenticeship program in Maryland with more than 300 students enrolled. The four-year program is a true apprenticeship--students must work full-time while attending evening classes two nights a week. Upon completion of the program, students receive their Journey-person certificate from the State of Maryland. |
